5DIII light leak aint got nothing on D800/D4 problems

The fix is no more than what you do to put sound deadener in a vehicle to stop noise. It is black material that is non-conductive that sits in with the electronics. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the fix.

Actually I can't think of a more effective/efficient solution to the imaginary issue, both to seal off the location and to allow simple access to the components under the tape, should there be any future repair, such as a busted shutter button.
