1.5Kg Canon + lens, looking for a tripod for macro usage?
Sort of ground level to 1.5ft extent?
Any recommendations please?

Dave I've had it only for around 2 months, and no quality issues so far. With heavy set up (like my Canon 40D + 24-70mm + flash), the legs can sag depending on the "leg positioning." The legs are quite flexible so you can position the legs any way you want. I got mine to primarily use it for macro as well as light traveling where I don't want to carry a full size tripod.
