Lightroom 3 and the 5d Mark III

I am shooting a wedding with another photographer tomorrow who used lightroom 3, and I have a 5d mark III. I know it will with with LR 4.1 with the RC pack (or what ever it is called, I am using it). Will she be able to read my files? What will she need to do (besides obviously upgrading to LR4)

Are your files RAW?

lr3 will not read 5d3 raw files. you can dl the acr to dng converter and convert your 5d3 files to dng if the photographer only uses lr3.

Like was said, if you shoot RAW you'll need to do a DNG conversion. You can download the latest version (so the 5D3 files will be supported) and then when you do the conversion you need to set the compatibility to support ACR6, I believe...

Can anyone confirm or correct me on that?

Alternatively, you can shoot Raw+jpeg...

If you use lightroom 4 just do an import as DNG.
Then give the other photog the dng folder.

Using DNG will work, provided you use PV2010, not PV2012 in LR4.
