All I can say is - interesting, cold, wet and windy. Today involved a three hour drive to Anglesey circuit and large grids of determined racing drivers who braved far from ideal conditions. For our US cousins, Anglesey is an island off the NW coast of Wales.

Qualifying started mid morning on a wet and greasy track:

A bit too greasy for some:

Lots of Caterhams with a host of saloons stacking up in the background for their turn at qualifying:

It wouldn't be Anglesey without Formula Fords:

A 2,000cc Vauxhall Lotus powered single seater being harried by a 1,000cc Jedi:

Did I say a lot of Caterhams and Saloons:

Wild wet and windy at 'Radar' with a slightly bent Mini and a stormy sea in the background:

Not all Minis were damaged:

A good location for single seater shots:

Did I say wet - oh boy at this point is was really heavy rain:

Faster than even the majority of single seaters:

And farewell to circuit racing until next season:

Now the season is over, I will get around to posting my favourites from 2005, but from previously un-published pictures. Thanks for viewing.

Ken a question. In shot number 5 and similar shots I see you post quite often how do you set yourself up? Are you lying on the ground or are you just able to take advantage of a difference in elevation?

I was up at Radar when Rachael Owen bent her mini, after losing it at school and creating carnage she then decided to T bone the Peugeot of Colin Hardy at Abbotts!
After the race was red flagged I was surprised to see her out again, took 4th spot I think!
Meeting was televised by S4C, anybody know when it will be screened?

they are some great shots. The rain can always make for interesting racing :)

I have a question about the track. Is it the same one that they use in Fifth Gear?. some of the angles that I can see look very similar .

looking at shot 7 it's quite remarkable just how big the spectator and marshall look standing on the bank above the Douglas complex

Lovely work as always Ken. It was good spending some time with you on Sunday. I enjoyed my first visit to Anglesey although they "must try harder" on the catering front. No full breakfast and the bacon rolls were sub-standard. ;) I'll post something later in the week.
