Playing with a lightning trigger and I think it worked out not too bad.

Believe me or not, this is one of the best ones I’ve seen! There are a lot of good ones out there but this one really stands out because of everything visible in the image. Buildings, lights, water, hill, etc.
Usually you’d see a lightning but everything else is dark and nothing is visible.

Getting a shot during the lightning wasn't the hard part. Relying on mother nature to strike within the frame is! Compose and set exposure first, then sit back with a beer and watch the show.

Great shot!

Tried with a 100mm macro last night and got lucky. Almost the full frame.
If I view at 200% the strike and return paths can be seen.
