I had some time after work yesturday, so I decided to see if I could learn how to use the filters I just received. I used the river that flows through Loveland for the subject.

I used a Super Takumar 28mm F3.5 lens at F11 for the first image and a SMC Takumar 55mm F1.8 lens for the second. Both were set to F11 and both used a Cokin P filter holder and a Hitech 2.7 ND filter as well as a 3 stop hard graduated filter.

I only spent a few minutes taking the shots, but I can already see where I'll be using this setup in many landscapes.

Thanks everyone! I took some suggestions from another forum and post processed the first photo a little more. I done some selective exposure on the bright area and burned the edges/bright parts a little.

Here is the new post processed image. I do like this one better than the original.

To tell the truth these are nice photos. But I like to see the greenish-blueish color of the river, so I think shorter shutter speed could make more nicer these pics. The river seems like a foam and not water-like (for me).

Have a nice lights!
