The game will last 4 Days and whoever can produce the best edited image (as judged by me) will be picked and it'll be their turn to post their unedited picture for all of us to take a crack at.

The participants must have their "Image Editing OK" turned on and they must provide at least a simple breakdown of how they edited the image, some entrants are a little vague on this point, please give us all details so we can learn and share tips. For instance if you use the unsharp mask tool or Smart Sharpen, provide us with the adjustments you used so others can try them out.

You can post multiple images, but the first image you post will be the one that is judged - all other images will be considered for knowledge and tip use only.

Also, please keep all comments, be they positive or negative, to yourself until after the game has ended.

If you happen to be the winner of the game please start the next one with the title of the game and the following number. For example…the next game should read "Before & After #424."

Game ends Wednesday May 9 at 9am EST

i really didn't know what to do with this one, but here is one version I came up with.

used the png in pse9. copy layer, used magic extractor to pull out the dog, copy layer again, flipped the layer, aligned the two dog layers and merged them.resized the dog layers to 103%. Went to the bottom layer (the original shot) applied just a tiny bit of gaussian blur. flatten the image, cloned oot the cord on the right side, used auto smart fix, brought down the brightness a bit.auto sharpen. save to web and post.

Kind of took a cue from 08photog on this one, but took it to extremes. DIdn't spend more than about 15 minutes on this, since it felt a bit silly doing what I did to the image :P
- I made a duplicate of the image, then flipped it and positioned it where I wanted (also using a layer mask so that I could move that around a bit to get the position/reflection the way that I wanted).
- Tweaked the reflection and used a layer mask to hide things about the mirror combination that I didn't like. Masked out some of the other parts of the dog then copied and used free transform on a part of the background above the dog to fill in some areas.
- Used levels/curves to enhance some fur detail and tweak the color a bit.
- Applied a slight gradient on the lower part of the new background to help the dog stand out.

Hrm, expected a litle more response on this - was thinking he'd get a caption relating to the diapers or something :)

Anyway, I like what you did Vicious, but 08's was a lot more "silly" and fun looking...

08photog wins!
