It should be:

photography-for-the-birds.net

Then we can move the entire Bird section to it's own website.

They are seriously taking over this place lol...can't look at new posts without seeing at least half Birds it seems like.

So don't rely on :Show new threads", just visit the forums you care about. I avoid the Lens Forum unless someone needs reining in, for instance. I know all the answers, but am tired of hearing from those who think they do.

All of them are boring to me. It's certainly not my thing. My post is more in jest than anything.

Could you write all the answers down? I have a test tomorrow.

Anyway, the new posts function is one of the most useful and time-saving ways to check up on the forums. There are some exclusions built in to the search already - it would be nice if we could build our own exclusions for that search.

I wish the Market Watch forum had a sub-forum for people that want to post "Watch out for this Scam" threads and "Is this too good to be true?" threads.

What do you expect from a forum this size? Maybe the much more smaller forums keyed to more specific styles or type of photography would be a better place for you. Jon said it best! And watch what you say to MODS, I have heard horror stories from my two friends that are mods on here and they made me laugh, for the stupidest things that people have said to mods.

Im a bird photographer as well and it is much more challenging then it looks, I will challange you to a shoot out any day and then see what you say about it.

LOL

I accept your challenge. You go shoot birds and I'll go shoot brides.

Ha ha exactly! I dont bother going into the Lens or the Body section as its always the same old argument, questions and discussions. Been through it all, got what I need and no longer want to deal with the same circle. I just hang out in the sections that are less repetative.

Boy, ain't that the truth!!!

I seriously want to strangle the next person who says a 50mm lens becomes an 80mm lens on a crop body!!!

I also get tired of PMs with "which lens is better" questions. Just because I correlated a lot of data to make the lens tables everybody and their cousins seems to think I'm a lens expert. Wrong! I'm a data expert. I only evaluated the lenses I have purchased, a grand total of five!
