No, I'm originally from South Carolina but on a whim, when I was 24, I packed what would fit in my car and moved to a little town called Yelm. My mother gave me a camera to chronicle my new life and that's where my love of photography was born. Taking pictures of that mountain. I walked out my front porch and it's what I saw. Its strange that I only lived in the area 2 years and have mainly been in SC the rest of the time, yet I'm still homesick for Washington.

yeah, Yelm is one of those places where "The Mountain" dominates everything. even just a couple of years here is enough to make you long for the photographic opportunities the NW offers, when you no longer have them in your backyard... ;)
