Well I tried catching the "Super Moon" over Seattle but as I had figured, it didn't quite rise over the downtown area to make that cool shot. I also learned that the moon is much brighter than I expected and it's blown out in almost all of my shots even though I was doing a +2/-2 spread bracket.

There were a couple of hundred photographers there tonight so I'm hoping some of them are on this forum and can post some (it looked like a Lindsay Lohan court appearance :-) ). Considering the number of white lenses I saw, I assume there should be a few.

Any way, here's a couple of take aways I liked.

Thanks all.

Went out for moon shots, and came back with Space Needle shots. Fun night!

Very nice! I haven't really been a fan of the gold paint on the Space Needle, but it really looks good at night!

Very true. The Orange paint job really lends itself well to night shots too!

Very nice.

It's so cool that they've painted the needle the original Galaxy Orange. I totally remember it as a kid.

You done good.

I'm accross the canal just south of Ballard, the town Seattle usurped in 1907.

I had an opportunity to go to Kerry Park with some fellow photogs back when we had a Seattle meetup in February of '10. I declined, and wish I hadn't, 'cause I haven't been back to really photograph in Seattle since, dang!
