Thanks Rick. Central Adelaide is only a few square kilometers but the burbs go out for 20 in each direction. Compared to Sydney it's small

In fact (R)Adelaide city is only 1KM squared (or so i heard) Adelaide is tiny, and there is 6 degrees of seperation, quite frankly, its how i like it!

Heard the same Mark.
But I think it's a square mile.
Love Adelaide. Far better city than Sydney or Melbourne. Sure others here might disagree.

I was there last week, only for 1 night. Having visited a lot of other capital cities I'm not the biggest fan. In saying that I certainly haven't had much of an opportunity to see it.

From the drive around there is a lot of great architecture to capture and this is the first time I have seen the city layout in daylight. :)

One of only a few cities planned before a brick was laid. Another one is Canberra I believe Matt.
Adelaide is a quiet city (except Hindley street) but that's why we Adelaidiens like it. It's also why many migrants that dare travel past Sydney or Melbourne settle here.

Thanks Mike. I need to get back there for a sunset

I think you are right. Canberra designed by an American with a love of round-a-bouts =)

Ah....Adelaide!

Spent 3-1/2 weeks in Adelaide in Feb/Mar 2011. Awesome city, great parks, excellent restaurants and just a ton of fun (oh yeah, I did some work there too. LOL)

Thanks. I fully intend on returning to Adelaide for a visit soon (2014 at the latest). Glenelg beach had some pretty nice "scenery" whilst I was there...

Also want to re-drive the Great Ocean Road, spending a little more time at Port Campbell and The Twelve Apostles (well, okay, the remaining few! :D).

Glenelg does have some nice scenery ;)
The GOR is an awesome drive. We did a flight over the 12 Apostles last year.
