I have the Flex TT5 and Mini TT1, everything works fine in ETTL but want to set mode 2 to basic trigger so I can use my Metz 58 AF-2 in full manual, well when I open the Utility and go to Misc I check basic trigger then I go back to the channel tab and set a channel like 25 instead of the default 32, but the flash doesn't fire I also tried my canon flash in manual mode and doesn't fire either, is there another setting I am forgetting in the utility? I sent an email to pocket wizard and they told me the Mini doesn't need to be in basic trigger ( which with or without the mini in basic trigger won't fire anyway) but they told me the mini has to have the same channel as the flex which in the channel tab for the mini only has mode 1 or 2, can someone help me out? thanks;)

I'm pretty sure that basic trigger mode only works on the basic channels - you can't use the ttl channels for the dumb trigger feature. I wish that pw would release an app though so you could easily chnge settings in the field.

Thanks but how can I set it up to basic trigger so the flash will fire in manual mode?
