Yeah, the TD battery pack is good, depending what you shoot and how quickly you want your flash to recycle. I shoot a lot of cycling race photography and the AAs battery pack isn't able to sustain my 1dIII burst speed. As soon as I am shooting with HSS enabled, I am getting missed fires.
