The weather was miserable ,but these shots made my day.
still along way to go but i think im getting there.

Judging by the size etc I'd say that that is a young male Greater spotted Woodpecker. Two good shots Rob, very nervous birds which don't tend to sit still to be photographed, well done.

Very nice. I like the BG. This shot really shows how a woodpecker uses his tail for balance and leverage.
