The 200 size is legal on board size for all but the small regional planes who will gate check it. You may want the smaller 100 size for one body and a couple of lenses. I doubt a 17" laptop will fit in the lid of the 100 size. Personally I do not put laptops in the camera bag. I like my laptop in a brief case where I can easily get it.
