I promise I have done several searches here but I still am not finding quite what I need. I donated my time to photograph a charity 5K walk last weekend, and the planners asked me to make the photos available for purchase. I am planning on donating proceeds (if there are any) back to the charity organization (JDRF).

I have looked into making discs to sell, but what I would really rather do is simply post the photos online somewhere that people will be able to directly purchase prints, so that I will be done with it from there. I have a full time job and do not have time to order prints every day.

I have looked into several of the websites I learned about here, and of course I do not want to pay $1xx.00 per year for a site with fees.

Has anyone had any experience with this type of thing?

The not free photo gallery hosts such as SmugMug make better products for distribution and fulfillment of event photo galleries with custom pricing, and will save you many hours of additional aggravation. Simply deduct your photo gallery host expenses from your contribution back to the charity and your problem is solved.

Trust me it is worth the 150.00 or so for the year. I tried the free web sites first and there is too much work to be done. Smugmug lets you shoot, upload and manage selling and printing easily. They take care of the time consuming headaches that happen when you have to do it all yourself. You can see why so many of us pay up and use one of the pay sites because it is worth it.
