There are a lot of popular sayings & this relates to the one that goes

"He who dies with the most toys wins"

These photos are nothing but quickly taken snapshots while doing a tour of a private family owned collection of the things that interest them. I knew the collection was big & diverse so when a friend invited me to join the tour I couldn't pass it up no matter what I had planned for that day. I urge everyone who likes there samples to at least check out the 2 albums I did based on my tour.

I don't know much about the family but a friend had done the tour years ago & from his description I knew I wanted to if the occasion came. I was invited to go just 2 days before the tour which was set up by members of 3 local car clubs. Before going I did a quick internet search so I'd know what conditions to expect photography wise. I chose my 7D & 17-40 & 1Ds2 with a Sigma 12-24 & a 580 flash. It didn't take long to realize that the 12-24 was the tool for the job simply because everything is so tightly packed in. Here's a link to a little information about them but it must be a bit old because things have changed re new buildings since the article & I think I heard them say that 2 more are in the near future.

Edited to add
We were told that the majority of the vehicles were both roadworthy & more importantly had current license plates. What a gift to the province considering how little time they'd actually travel the highways.
