This is the first time i used my 1D II instead of my 5D II and i also used the 1.4x III with so much better results! The auto focus was much quicker with the extender attached and i was able to get the heron's in flight with ease using ONE SHOT for most of them, i think they will get better with AI SERVO on. Too much saturation or vibrance, how about sharpening?

I would really love comments on the processing of the images. That is my biggest weakness at the moment, i'm wondering if i am processing them correctly. I am not sure if this look is desirable to most so i would love criticism on that.

Thanks for the comment! I really really REALLY enjoyed using the 1.4x with the 100-400mm on the 1D II. On my 5D II it was hunt and pecking a lot with the tape trick. i'm looking for the cheapest best lens to pair with the 2x III but i haven't figured it out yet.. I guess i need an f4 and tape trick to get it to work? I think i should possibly rent the 300mm F4 which is fairly priced and try that out!
