I have two questions with Lightroom 4. With the new version, the flags do not disappear when pics moved to collection.

My workflow in old light rooms
1) go through pictures and flag the ones I like
2)create collection for "selects" copy this first set of flags
3)Go to selects folder, then flag the ones I like in there,
4)do this folder after folder (usually just 3-4) to narrow down the "keepers" "prints" "email" etc...

I am not sure if i changed a setting in old versions or not. Before when I would flag then move to a new folder in collection, the flag would go back to unfledged status, Then I would flag the ones I wanted for next folder. Now the files all stay flagged so I have to Select ALL then unflag then start again. Not that big of a deal, 2 extra buttons, but is there a setting somewhere to make that default so flag moves back to no flag status when moved to collection?

Yeah, flags are now "global". It's a "feature".

Thanks, Now I just have to find a workflow to better sort through my pictures :( I don't want to use stars, as I already have them for other sorting. Ohh well.

Flag, move to new folder or collection, choose "Refine Photos"

And it's a good one. The old way was one of the things I hated about Lightroom.
