Do you really feel like it is a representation of your work since you did not pose them or come up with the concepts?

I like the original post processing better.

I take pictures, I lift heavy things put them down and repeat.

2,3 and 5 where the pictures where someone said what they had to do. Or they did it by thereself.

I.m.o. you can get a total different feel or look with an other composition / lens and PP.

So for those pictures I've got a mwahh feeling about the representation about my work. The rest is my work.

Same here, and I'm surprised to see so much negativity in this thread.

For a first-timer, these are great wedding pictures.

i think the images look great, especially for your 1st go around.

The post processing is fine. it's on the edge of being good vs processed too much. but if that is your style and how you want to run w/ it go for it.

i was curious as to what you thought about them?

Do you feel confidence in the work you produced?

There usually is negativity in a critique.. along with some suggestions for improvement.

Below is what the OP requested:
I can use advice on everything! Please tell me!
Do you like the toning? The PP?

I am hoping some of the comments and suggestions posted here will inspire the OP to reflect on what was done and what could be done differently.

As far as processing. It is all a personal taste.. I hate the yellow and blown out trend. This look is like disco..It will eventually fade. I hated disco too *L*

It's not negativity it's CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM. it's how we all get better. My first shots? Were FAR worse than this. Know how I got better? By someone giving CC.

Being that I work for a railroad, I must take STRONG exception to the fact that being on railroad property is VERY DANGEROUS! The first rule of railroading is to expect a train on any track, any time, any direction. I've read/heard of loose box cars rolling down the tracks as well, so they can be completely silent.

So please, all photographers....stay AWAY from the railroad!

Thank You.

I actually like the PP.

PP is like fashion, it gets old. So sometimes it is better to keep it simple. Give the couple both the PP'd and the not so much PP'd images and let them choose IMO.

Right now it is "hot" to use (ugly) strong colored backgrounds again.. This was VERY popular in the 90's..

I like the second PP style a lot better as I've never been a fan of the first style you presented, especially for wedding images.

You have some really nice shots to work with.

The images themselves are all very nice. I'm not a fan of the blown out, faded-Polaroid look of some of them, but the composition is nice. I don't know if it's the quality of the jpgs you uploaded or the full rez
files themselves, but they all seem really 'soft' to me. I like to see sharp eyes.
