At about what time of day were these photos taken? We are going to Bryce the first week of June and we cannot wait. Thank you for your excellent pictures!

best time of day for photos at Bryce is early in the morning, at dawn and the first hour or so after sunrise. real early, the sun bounces around between the hoodoos and brings out amazing shades of orange, pink, dusty rose and magenta, but once the sun gets up in the sky, everything turns an almost universal shade of burnt orange. the canyon really isn't a "canyon" at all... it's the eroded eastern face of a plateau, and because it faces east, it's at its best very early. at sunset, it's pretty much all in shadow.

Yes it does help. Thanks! I get up early anyways so hopefully the weather will cooperate. Once again, just beautiful photos you have shared with us. Thanks.
