Ouch! Guess these things can happen. I'm hoping the delay in the 1DX is because they really tested the hell out of it.

I'm sure that's what they are doing regarding the 1dx.

Lol, this be the second thread to have this link in the OP.

Don't forget the exploding D800s, melting batteries, LCD issues, and white spots all on the D800. ;)

The D800 has had wayyyy more problems than the 5D3, which has had 1. That would be the ERR80 issue with Wi-fi cards. Light leak? please, that was never an issue.

I've actually been amased, *crosses fingers*, that the launch products don't have more issues. I agree Nate, the Light leak "Issue" is pretty much the only thing to have come up. I've seen a few reports of incorrect metering, but I've been dealing with those issues on most of my previous bodies. My 5d3 seems pretty good at accurately metering scenes, but I still make sure to check my shots when conditions change.

One of my mates is actually quite a well known pro who gives talks for Calumet, and uses the D4; so i've actually passed this news on to him, given it may rudely and quite inconveniently, suddenly come and sting him in the wild. Hope Nikon sort it out

The Nikon D800 issue list is shockingly long. I didn't realise it is that bad until I followed the links around and came across...

D4 shares some of the problems but not as much. Maybe smaller sample size?

The 5d3's light leak pales in comparison.

Wait until the leprosy problem hits the press, or a few of those D800 users meet up with Chuck Norris and kicks the crap out of them.

See... Karma is a...

For all those Nikon peeps who bashed Canon over and over and over again for this "light leak", which honestly affects almost nobody but measure-baters and people who always want to shoot in pitch black caves with the top LCD on... Nikon has been having a much greater slew of problems.

My 5D3 in my mind, is completely problem free. Not a single issue wrong with it that I have come across, even the "light leak" issue. This camera meters better then any other I have used. The camera has been a complete pleasure to use. With previous bodies I wished and wanted this and that, or something different... Not with the 5D3... It is nearly perfect. And that is quite awesome to say about your camera. (my own opinion).

Any other issues, such as the AF display thing is also just a want and not design flaw, considering the 7D and such did not do it as well. And can be fixed in firmware at anytime.

I have noticed the bashing has started to dwindle a bit from Nikon people. I guess they are biting their tongues now...

On a serious note, regardless of what you shoot, it sucks to have problems and hopefully Nikon takes care of the issues for everybody without much hassle.

Dear lord I can't believe all the issues being posted at Nikon rumors. It's crazy.

All I can say is...........nope. Not a peep.

I believe in karma, so I'll shut my trap and for all those who are having issues, I too hope they get straightened out. In all seriousness, we all know both are great cameras that take outstanding pics.

With the many various issues now surfacing in the D800/D4, I am beginning to think perhaps Nikon rushed the cameras out a bit too fast in time to meet certain sales target.

The issues seem to range from software to hardware.
