I needed a ball head as I cheaped out when I started out and got a pan/tilt tripod that doesn't allow you to upgrade the head (manfrotto). After looking around and looking at reviews I picked this one up from B&H.
It's originally $199 and is selling for that on Amazon. On BH it's $129 and seems like it will fit my needs since it's described as holding 16lb.
