Grid Sets getting too hot

Hi guys,

I recently purchased an elinchrom grid set for my 600rx and when I was testing it today I noticed that within 5-10 minutes the reflector and the honeycomb grid itself gets quite hot. I did have my modelling light at full power and since the grids are absorbing a lot of the heat I know it will be hot but I am nervous about using modelling lights with grids because I feel it will overheat and damage my strobes. What do you guys suggest? Use lower modelling power or just dont use modelling power? It helps especially for low key pictures to set lights.

just turn off the modelling lights after you are set up, you don't need them on unless it's your main light
