May 09, 2012 19:27 | #5 Good picture, and a nice one to view for an ID challenge. Your first impression was correct, it's an accipiter, and I think it's a Cooper's Hawk. That dark cap and dark wings, along with the bright red eye color are good ID marks for Cooper's and Sharpies. Mike
