What is the best, user's friendly, excellent technical support, support both Mac and PC platforms and reasonably priced stacking software?

Well, what type of/purpose for stacking? I don't know what apps people are using, I stick with Photoshop (CS3) for everything from focus stacking to exposure blending, but there are "specialized" apps out there for various tasks. A lot of Macro shooters, for example, do focus stacking.

So let us know what you are wanting to do!

Focus stacking mainly when doing macro.

Here are a couple threads about stacking projects and they both mention software used:

https://photography-on-the.net …/showthread.php?t=1133092

https://photography-on-the.net …/showthread.php?t=1128232

And here is a site that discusses focus stacking and software:

http://www.breezesys.com …otePro/focus_stacking.htm (external link)

Additionally, I'd suggest you hook up with the Macro Discussion section, ask questions, etc:

https://photography-on-the.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=123

That's all I can offer for now!

Imo, Photoshop does an excellent job of this but if you have your heart set on an external app for it then I would look at Helicon Focus (external link). I don't own it but have used a friends and it also does a good job. Have you tried the routine in Photoshop and if that doesn't suit you what is wrong with it. There are plenty of other options that can be found via a search and then it is simply a matter of testing them to see if they fit your requirements.

My life is like one big RAW file....way too much post processing needed.
