Pelican in flight?

I have to say to you guys who get these birds in flight must have a good homeing device..LOL I had a horrible time keeping them in view.... anyways only got this one its the best i could do for now....
i think this is a Pelican... ?

Yes and yes! Pelicans are great practice if you just sit and wait. Cool when they ride the waves Let's see some more!

Keep practicing, they do get easier. Very nice shot of one of my favorite birds.

thank you all.. i had never seen these birds "ride the waves' and their flight pattern was amazing...
