At least for me, Having just purchased a new Sigma 150mm f/2.8 APO Macro lens I thought I would target my watch tonight and see how it came out.:confused:

I am seriously thinking of buying a dedicated macro ring-lite for macro but used my 580EX to take this shot with second curtain flash active and would like some comments please.

This is my first attempt at this type of subject where lighting is important IMO.

Trying to follow Lord V is a hard task....:lol:

Now that's one thing I have never tried, Looks pretty good.
Obviously the lighting is not even and it is slightly OOF on the RHS, but the watch face has come out extremely well. I saw a thread somewhere with someone doing rolex watch pics- I'll try to find it.

Watches and jewlery are not easy to do. You have done pretty well on the watch face.

Nice shot! I think I saw this a couple days ago, and was going to comment but had to rush off. :rolleyes:
