Sold this lens just after christmas as i fell on hard times. Really regretting it now. I have money in the bank again, and there are some on ebay for sale, but none of them are my copy. It was perfect, and I think made truly stunning images.

Lesson learned, wont make that mistake again.

Any of you guys have similar stories of regret?

Well, I still have mine. I can't seem to part with it even though I have a 70-200 f/2.8
It stays in my truck with my old XTi, ready to capture whatever I find in my travels. The 2.8 stays on my 50D for sports...

Keep hold of it. I'm scouring ebay now for a mint copy. The worst part was i'd forgotten I'd even put it on there (in an act of desperation), until i checked my messages and saw it had sold. It made me sad.

It is a ridiculously useful lens.

I wish I would have held on to my Minolta 50/1.7 and MD to EOS adaptor longer. The adaptor made it only good for macro but still not much magnification. I would have liked to try it with the adaptor and extension tubes.

Now I have the 60/2.8 so I won't be trying it, but maybe it could have gotten me some good macro shots before I could spring for the 60/2.8.

I may have this regret soon. I was involved in a car accident recently. The other driver was a fault, he was ticketed BUT his insurance company is claiming he had no business driving that car. I may be stuck with the repair cost. I am reluctantly considering selling my Canon 40D and one of my Canon lenses.

I regret selling my Sigma 20mm f/1.8. Very special lens.

Also a 50mm compact macro that I let go for way too cheap.

A close friend of mine shoots local sports and sells photos to make ends meet. His main lens now is the 100-400mm. He cares for his metally handicapped sister. A few years ago he pawned his 70-200mm 2.8 IS MKI. RIght before he had all of the money to go get is back out of pawn a guy shows up on the field showing him this grea lens he got a the pawn shop! Cruel turn of events from the universe. Worse thing is it is all true and he has been able to replace it.
