memory card confusion-pls help

hello photographers,

i want to clear my confusion about selecting the right memory card for my Canon 1100D.
Here in Mumbai, India, i am getting a 16GB Class10 Sandisk memory card for rupees 1650 and 16GB Class10 Sony memory card for rupees 1050.

which one should i go for and what are the things i should consider before buying a good memory card for my DSLR?

What are the write speeds of the cards?

i think i read 20 mbps...i m not too sure though

If both are the same write speed, Id go with the Sandisk.
