sigma 50mm f1.4.
its color looks flat to me.
sold it once, but re-buy it again because i need a standard lens for walk around.

Why does this matter unless you don't shoot RAW?

maybe i'm used to zeiss' color and contrast. even when i use sigma 50mm f1.4 i shoot raw and do pp, it's still not easy to reproduce zeiss 'taste'.
anyway, image quality wise i still prefer sigma 50mm f1.4 to other standard zoom lenses i had previously (tamron 28-75 and canon 28-70L)

Question for those of you who hate the Canon EF 75-300 telephoto lens: did you solely use it on auto focus? I have not been able to upgrade my lens yet (just purchased my T3 kit and the 75-300 lens in Dec 2011), but I immediately found that I don't like the AF of the 75-300...way too slow for me and I like to be in control of my focus. So I began using MF almost immediately with it and that's how I shoot with this lens. Of my two lenses, the 75-300 is my preferred lens; I rarely shoot with the 18-55 kit lens. I'm not a pro and I don't have any experience shooting with other (better lenses), but I enjoy this lens and try to make the most of my shooting with it. I do appreciate your comments on other lenses though so I learn what lenses to avoid/try. I have found though that I want the Canon 100-400mm for wildlife; been wanting it for about six months now, but I have to save the money.

I'd rather be shooting!

Use to be a Tamron 70-300 f4-5.6 sold it though. Now out of the lenses I have none of them aren't that bad. Out of my lineup (17-40L, Sigma 70-200 f/2.8, Rokinon 8mm f/3.5, and 50mm f/1.8) I would have to say it would be the 50mm due to the fact that I never use it...

the worst lens was Canon 50 1.8 - sometimes soft (like focus miss, but you can`t find any sharp place on the picture), sometimes sharp, but you can`t predict when what will happen... now my friend uses it for weddings on 1Ds.

I have a Sigma 24-70 EX that is rubbish...mostly because the focus gearing has failed....

The crop sensor kit lens. 18-55. Can no longer autofocus in 6 months. Broke apart the next day for no apparent reason. (well maybe because I never took care of it)

My "worse" lens is my 50 1.8, and it's not at all bad if you use it in the right situations.

Mine is a tie between the Canon 28-135mm kit lens and Sigma 50. The Canon's IQ and build quality really aren't worth the price. I tried two copies of the Sigma. Both were heavy, soft, and had poor autofocus performance.

It's a toss-up between my 18-55 kit lens and my nifty fifty.
