My worst lens is the 17-40 but there is nothing out there that is any better, imo.

Me too, mostly becasue mine is still a little mis-aligned, even after having it serviced.

I think when it comes to UW zooms there is nothing out there that can compete with lenses that have a longer focal length. I was hoping the Tokina 16-28 would do the trick but it flared at the slightest provocation.

Bohdan - I may be, and probably am, completely wrong.

EF 50mm f/1.8

But only because my other lenses are the 24-70 and 70-200 L's which are some of the best in the business.

Tamron 70-300VC. Great build quality, but my 55-250is refurb had better image quality and a much higher keeper rate.

Ok, mine is the 50 1.8. On one hand, it's got fantastic IQ and blew me away..... then it was a little long and slow.

The real reason I hated that lens is it showed me how great post kit lenses could be and opened up my wallet and eyes to the world of high end gear.

T3i, Sigma 10-20, Sigma 30 1.4, 18-55 kit, 55-250, YN-565, a few books, some software, and a desire to get good.....

Canon 50mm 1.4 is my least favorite. Mostly due to focus/sharpness and I'm not thrilled by it's build quality.
I'm really hoping Canon updates this lens soon. I really like the focal range but don't feel like playing the sigma lottery (did that with my 85mm) and don't feel like forking over the cash for the 1.2L

Sigma 30 1.4 works excellent with my t2i, turns bad with my 50D..
