While out with Wayne on Sunday morning, I got this Hairy Woodpecker just a split second before it landed. I think it kinda looks cool with its wings closed and its feet getting ready for landing, but it does look like it's just floating in place.;)

A Hairy Hummingbird:) Great shot Dan. These birds are pretty tough to capture in flight. They don't glide a lot and I find they climb and descend at steep angles. You nailed it.

Damn Dan, excellent mate, both are great shots but that first one is great timing and does give a strange look to it just levitating or something lol. fantastic captures.

Cheers Wayne :D

Great shots. The first looks like an A-10 jet coming in for a landing.

Great shot! Reminds me of those ski jumpers just before they extend their arms to land at the bottom of the slope.
