I don't think I post this here. It's a shot from Hoboken on Presidents Day. I stacked a Big Stopper and polarizer to get a 4 min exposure Chris

Feb 28, 2014 17:12 | #1699 Well I have a Question? My 1ds came with the firewire cable but my computer doesnt have a firewire port. I want to change the name in the camera to my name, so will a Firewire to usb adapter work or will have to buy the firewire port? Thanks for any responses... Canon 5D MK III Gripped

Firewire 400 has a higher rate than usb, does'nt it? At any rate, it just about has to be XP to do it and even then you have to have the correct Canon software to enable Personal Functions. The problem with that is that Canon upgrades EOS Viewer and drops the older versions, so it can be hard to find the correct EOS Viewr to work with the camera. Dale

They had my 1DsMkII for a week, I got a notice today that it shipped so I should see it tomorrow...not a word about any findings or what may have been wrong with it. What's that mean? I paid the initial labor charge, was waiting for an estimate on parts to repair it and here it is coming back without a word. Beats me, guess I'll know something more tomorrow...just thought it was kind of strange. Dale
