ive been looking for a 24-70f2.8L for the past month or so, no matter how old they sell for no less than £800, some of them closer to £900, the price for a brand new one from calumet whilst i was looking was £989, id rather spend an extra £100 for a brand new one than get one thats 6-8 yrs old for near enough the same price.

all that said, no where in the UK has the one im after in stock, and ive even looked at hong kong sellers and even they are out of stock, im sadly beginning to realise that i'll not be able to own one of these lens.

The MkII is about to be released but at £2300 its a no go'er.

Good luck.

I'm not sure about the link you posted but I do know that there are lots of "scams" and "bait and switch" places that sell camera equipment. If the price sounds too good to be true, it most likely is. Buy from a reputable dealer :)

ebay sellers are sometimes optimistic, and ebay buyers are often fools. put those two together and you will often have things selling for big bucks.
i see you're in swindon, used to work there, on pipers way, miss the good indian food.
