Hi,

What is Canon pupose to produce new cameras with one feature and increase the prices these days?

This is a new camera, but the specification seems very very similar to 1DX but with that 4k cinematic video, is it worthy?

I am not so much interested in 1DX, what make that 1DC better with that video capability then?

Umm...I'd take wild guess and say it's to make money - but I could be wrong.
It wouldn't be the first time.

probably because introducing a camera with one feature and increasing the price has worked in the past.

They needed something to compete with the RED Scarlet.

The RED is still MANY steps ahead due to Redcode anyways.

Well, if i will dump that much money, better i increase more and buy RED instead, or even any Sony/Canon dedicated video camera, doesn't matter i have lenses to use with this HDSLR, i don't want Canon or Nikon just to blow my money just like that, now all what i look for is to get 1Dmk4 and maybe 5D2 or 5D3 then i am done, i may sell my 5Dc and 30D and get 5D2 or 5D3 and never look back, but if i can get 1D4 that will give me more work as i shoot sports more and it has video anyway, my friend has 5D3 and he can give it to me anytime as i gave him some of my stuff to rent.

Hey Canon, please don't do more items and put 1kkk prices.

If you don't know why you would need a 1DC, you don't need a 1DC...

I don't NEED 1DC and even i don't want 1DC, i prefer to get 1DX if i have the budget, and the rest i will invest on more glasses, $14k is closer to my old digital Hassy, i am still not recovered yet from my 60mp, so this 1DC is not gonna add anything more for me, i am happy to shoot video if i have with Full HD or even 720p, for 4k video i better become a movie director than a photographer.

Which is exactly to whom the 1DC is geared...

It's no different than the 1DX in terms of still work. 18MP, etc, etc..
