Learned a valuable lesson today. I went to Future Shop to purchase a new Canon 100-400 L. When the clerk brought the box to me I asked them to open it to make sure everything was there - lo and behold the warranty card was missing and they could not find it anywhere. I am not sure what good the card would be to anyone who did not have the lens - in any case I did not purchase it but rather went to their store across town where they had another lens with the warranty card.
Lesson learned - always check the box to make sure everything, including the warranty card, is there!
