What I shot during the storm today..

Having finally recieved my Rebel XT, I've set out in the last 3 days to learn how to use it. I played with it a bit today, and this is a couple of the indoor shots I took...

Are they too much yellow or is my screen not calibrated?

They are very yellow, but my post processing skills with photoshop are quite infintile.

If you want to try it manually,

Add a curves adjustment layer
Switch to the red channel (drop down box)
Add a point in the middle and drag it to the bottom right corner until the greens look right (removing reds)
Switch to green channel
Drag a center point slightly toward the top-left corner to pop the greens a bit more.
Switch to blue channel
Drag a center point slightly toward the bottom right corner.

Red - Input:154 Output:81
Green - Input:122 Output:134
Blue - Input:126 Output:105
That's a starting point anyway.

Less control... try Image>Adjustment>Variations.
Then just keep clicking the picture around the edges that looks best balanced.
Change closer to fine for "fine tuning"

You can also try Auto Colour (yikes!)
