7. For most people I know, a cell phone is pretty damn good, or if not, a <$200 P&S camera will work. I don't know of that many people who'd really use thousands of dollars of gear effectively.

You correctly identified 9 out of 10 photos taken by the HTC One X

One thing is clear, it's a pretty damn good cell phone camera!

7/10. At what has to be about 300 pixels, I guess I don't fail too bad.

I got 2/10

I am the class dunce.

Nope, I got 1/10 so I guess I'm not qualified to take photos with a smartphone...

Well i just got my Samsung Galaxy Nexus yesterday and today i was out and decided "Why not" and tried shooting with it

the Galaxy Nexus gets bashed in reviews for having a "****ty" camera with "flat" colors and everything, But to be honest, Im not so sure its not the photographers... I was actually impressed by it, No lie... Not going to trade my 7D for it, but i was very impressed with what i could do with it.. No adjustments, Straight out of camera

TBH this first one looked a lot more "punchy" on the AMOLED display than it does here, Oh well, i still think its good

I'd rather have my 7D than it in just about every situation, But hey, its not bad at all in my opinion (for the record i had my 7D with me, but i didnt want to risk getting in trouble for shooting the flowers with my DSLR, plus i had the wrong lens on there)

They looked great!! I thought they were shot with a Nikon D800 because they are all landscape type non-moving photos. Beautiful colours & great DR.

You folks are too hard to please.

So, if you can only get a couple right, does that mean it's a waste of money to get expansive stuff if you're not going to print large because you can't tell the difference?

Probubly

Theres a lot of people in the world who basically all they do is post low resolution facebook crap, and thats all they care about using a digital camera for...

That said, with the Retina-type displays becoming more and more common and likely moving to full size computers in the next year or two, Im thinking that might start changing because you will start seeing a huge difference in image quality...

I was mainly being facetious (I like my SLR for no other reason than it being way faster than a P&S). I noticed this week, however, that Facebook has a high-res option, which is totally awesome for the 5% of us who upload high-res images.

I'm afraid you guys are just going to have to hand in your DSLR's and be re-issued with Kodak Brownies.....and work up from there! :p
