mecdave suggest that I post one of my spider pics in the macro group so I thought I would just post a link to it instead. Its not the best quality but it is a unique capture. Let me know what you think.

YIKES! That made my skin crawl. Nice shot of it though. :D
You probably will get more comments here in the macro forum. We have a few folks here that are very knowledgeable about Arachnids. ;)

The Captain and crew finally got their stuff together, now if we can only remember where we left it.

Great capture- think it must be a Wolf spider as they are the only ones that carry their young like that.

Thanks for the comments. It was a pretty creepy thing to find outside my back door. She was pretty calm though and let me try for quite some time to get a good pic. I eventually decided it would be a bad idea to just leave her there for the rest of the family to find (she wouldn't have lasted long then and chances are I wouldn't have either for letting her stay there) so i moved the box out to the field and let her go from there. Even though she just stood there while i moved the box, I got a little uneasy when I got out to the dark and couldn't see her anymore...but it all ended well and I just have to assume that her and her babies lived a long happy life. :)
