Actually yes, I've been down to Kennedy Falls (aka Gluteus Mash by the kayakers) I actually fell down there a year ago on those damned slippery rocks. Love shooting there, though, and will be back again! 24 hours after this shot, we were treated to this: 65 degrees one day, 4-8 inches of snow the next... I think this was about 3-4 weeks ago. Fun trip! My Gear List

Funny, I talked with a gal there who had fallen in a year earlier. She told me the slippery stuff on the rocks is some kind of invisible algae. I know it was very slippery, Jason, and once on your shoe took some doing to get it off. Stan (See my gallery at http://www.pbase.com/sparker1

Also the trees in the background seem a bit on the washed out side--maybe you could push up the sat of the greens.

VERY slippery... it's from acid and lime (the orange color and the slickness) that is carried from the mining process in the hills and the nearby coke ovens. Dry, it's ok, even think about stepping on the damp parts and you gotta be careful. Was thinking about a pair of felt-soled shoes for these two falls. My Gear List
