So I got my Canon 8-15mm fisheye zoom yesterday and have been extensively playing with it. It is a fun lens. (As an aside, I printed this at 24x30 on my Epson 7900 and the detail is stunning.)

Beautiful capture of the flower but for me the white expanse of cloud detracts from the color of the flower.

When your lawn starts doing this...it's time to mow it. Nice job procrastinating.

Can I try out that lens? Pweeeze?

Beautiful photo and nice detail. I might crop out the building or whatever is on the left of the photo though, just to put the focus right on the flower.

thank you all for taking time to comment. much appreciated, especially for me, someone who does not get around to this section of the forum very often.

Katgrl, as to the crop, I think you are right. I couldn't decide if it added to the "thirds" rule or not, but I guess it adds nothing at all. I will crop it, but in a slightly different manner from the norm.

I have a cutter, and as I already printed it, I will cut the printed picture itself before framing.

Oikos, As to the cloud, not much I could have done about that, except to lay on the floor in a slightly different manner I guess. I'll have to give that a try.
