Jon Cream of the Crop  69,628 posts Likes: 227 Joined Jun 2004 Location: Bethesda, MD USA More info | May 13, 2012 18:26 | #3 Only thing I might think of doing differently is to pop up the flash . . . even at a slower shutter speed, your effective shutter speed will be the burst of the flash. It'll also help bring out any sheen of the feathers (like what I suspect's a purple gorget). Jon
