Made the plunge today and ordered a refurbished 7D from Adorama.
Thanks to all with suggestions last week on which camera body to purchased.
Looking forward to using it for bird photography, hopefully next weekend.

A lightning storm took out about half of there lighting system so the lighting was terrible. But the 7d worked awesome, the 40d couldn't have come close in those conditions. 7D, 70-200L 2.8 IS II, some rocks and hammers...

snake0ape Goldmember More info | May 13, 2012 22:11 | #12 You will love it. I just got mine a few weeks ago to replace my T1i. Now at my son's soccer game, I have tripled my picture count and the good news is that I have quad-tripled the number of keepers. And video is quite usable compared to the T1i. 5Diii | 50D | 8-15L 4| 16-35L 2.8 II| 24-70L 2.8 II | 70-200L 2.8 IS II |Tamy 150-600 | Σ35Art 1.4 | 40 2.8 | Σ50Art 1.4 | 85L 1.2 II | 100 2.8 Macro | Helios 44-3 58mm f2.0 |Helios 40-1 85mm f1.5 | 1.4x & 2x teleconverters
