toke these 2 pics last weekend of a honey bee, landed right in front of me as i was lying on the lawn trying to get a bumble bee. hope you enjoy them. c and c welcome.

Both excellent shots, my fav is #2. the yellow is a little over-exposed, but it doesnt take away from the pic. great job.:D :D :D

I've never shot macros but I'm intrigued by the whole idea and seriously thinking about picking up a Canon EF 100mm lens. Just curious though, how much distance is there between the subject and the front surface of the lens when capturing images like the honeybees? Very cool shots, by the way!

Nice shots - looks more like a Drone Fly to me but cant say for sure.

Excellent bee pics- look very similar to Uk bees- very dark eye colour.

hi Vixeh, for the first pic i was about 300mm from the subject, and its uncropped, and the 2nd pic I've cropped it about 50%. Search the posts here and you will learn alot about macro, thanks for the comment.
