So I was planning on getting one of these cameras secondhand at bhphotovideo.com and I just don't know which one to choose from. They all had good reviews, not entirely the EOS-1 because it was hard to find the reviews or the actual thing online. I do know photography, been shooting since I was 8, now 16 with a part time job for weddings and I do this for my own fun and for small exhibits I do so I'm really interested in buying a film camera, just not an expert on these cameras!

Well I have the original Rebel G and I don't know if I should upgrade to a EOS-3 or not (finally decided to that IF i do upgrade) I mean out of honesty I've never used or seen my own prints from the Rebel G before. I do have a series of EF lenses, but that's all I can say from now.

Thanks!

Don't buy another camera.

Shoot the Rebel and see if you actually ENJOY shooting film. A lot of people think "oh this will be cool" and they get sick of it in a hurry now that they're used to digital.

Basic operation will be no different than any digital EOS camera you've used before, other than the film ASA is fixed and you can't go changing ISO between shots. Otherwise, everything works the same way, and the meter in the VF will help you determine exposure.

Shoot with the Rebel for a while and then decide if you'd like to move to an Elan 7 or NE. Eye control is pretty awesome, and they are CHEAP to buy.

ABR800 - Several flashes, remote triggers, stands, too many and yet not enough lenses
