My girlfriend was nice enough to pose for a few portraits over the weekend. I'm pretty new to this so feedback is appreciated. All of these were just natural light with a diffuser.

The first one is nice, with the exception of the bright streak of light across the side of her face. I cant find a thing I like about #2, sorry but overexposed shots looking up under her chin do nothing in terms of portraiture. I'm not sure what you were going for there. #3 would have been better if you had her in consistent light. The top is blown out from being in direct sunlight and it detracts from the rest of the image. #4 is not a particularly flattering pose for her.

On the plus side your exposures are good, the images are sharp, and you've isolated her pretty well. Work on getting her in consistent light so you dont have extreme highlights or shadows raking the subject. Eye contact and communication with the camera are important. In these shots she's not engaging the camera.
