I just purchased my first digital camera - the G3. I think it's an incredible camera. I was able to purchase it from MicroCenter for $503. It seems that it had been a returned item, although the previous owner used 174 pictures. (Perhaps he used it for an event and then returned it?) Everything was there, and the condition is immaculate.

I've also purchased PhotoAlbum and DVD PictureShow 2.

I've been out of photography for about 20 years. At one time I was Bill Clinton's photographer when he was Governor of Arkansas.

The digital experience, however, is fascinating and fun. I've already made a VCD (since I lack a DVD burner). But the resolution of the slideshow, using PictureShow 2 is superb.

So....hello everyone. I need as many tips as any new beginner.

Don

Welcome to the fourm! You will get a lot of help and tips here. This is the best Canon/G3 fourm on the web. It will be interesting to get your opinion reagarding Hillary's new book for the period of time when Bill was Governor.
