G1x: raw limited

hi guys, I am struggling to get Raw working for me. I have my camera set up to record both jpg and raw but only jpg is getting saved for most shots, seeingly unless I am in TV or AV mode.

I can't see any reference in the manual as to why this should be but can anyone suggest a way I can save an HDR image as Raw?

RAW files are saved only when in P, Av, Tv or M mode. The in-camera HDR function is not available in these modes.

Thanks. Now the next problem is that I can't open the cr2 raw files.

Hi

What are you using to open your CR2 RAW files?
If you installed the latest Canon Software, DPP and Zoom Browser you should see the RAW files there.
If you are relying on Photoshop, anything prior to CS5 will not recognise the G1X RAW files.
Are you not seeing the RAW files at all (without images)?

If you are using an older version of Photoshop you can convert the files to DNG.
