Great capture, you got the expression and emotion

You have captured this from a great angle, nice and low. I would crop tighter however, loose all the space to the right of the subject, the extra space adds nothing to the image. My only other criticism is this is not a peak action image. Barefooters do tumble turns, foot holds etc. Here the skier is not doing anything difficult and does not have a very intense look on his face, you need that to add drama to the image. Excellent start for the summer, great light, angle, exposure etc.

I'd also remove the pole over his head...

Thanks for the comments everyone. I was in the back of the ski boat which drops very low to the surface of the water when going this fast.

This was a no crop shot with no post processing besides color and tone adjustments. I will try playing with the crop and removing the pole those are great ideas!
